-
RB Chris Johnson – Consensus No. 1 pick among experts because of
stratospheric ’09 stats.
-
RB Adrian Peterson – Could make an argument for No. 1 pick. Three
great years to start career.
-
RB Michael Turner – Better offense than Jones-Drew, more experience
than Rice. 17 TDs in ’08.
-
RB Maurice Jones-Drew – Dynamite bowling ball will rack up yards and
find the end zone.
-
RB Ray Rice – Amazing ’09 yardage totals (700 receiving). Just needs
to steal McGahee’s TDs.
-
RB Steven Jackson – Manages to put up stats on bad teams. Hope for
better team and more TDs.
-
WR Andre Johnson – Should be the unquestioned No. 1 receiver with
Fitzgerald’s QB situation.
-
RB Frank Gore – Four solid years in a row. That’s what you want out
of a first-rounder.
-
QB Drew Brees – QB rating was actually higher last year than
5,000-yard campaign of ’08.
-
QB Aaron Rodgers – Led me to fantasy heaven last year. I give edge
to Brees because of dome.
-
WR Randy Moss – Maybe he and Brady will dial up that 23-TD magic of
’07. Still, 13 TDs in ’09.
-
WR Reggie Wayne – Much like his QB, he’s Mr. Reliable. Six straight
1,000-yard years.
-
QB Peyton Manning – Despite increase in INTs last year, do you
really want to bet against him?
-
RB DeAngelo Williams – Somehow, there’s enough room for two stud
runners in Carolina.
-
RB Ryan Grant – Back-to-back 1,200-yard seasons in high-powered
offense.
-
WR Larry Fitzgerald – I hate to have him this low, but that QB
situation is scary.
-
RB Shonn Greene – Jets run the ball a ton, and boy, did he look good
in the playoffs.
-
RB Rashard Mendenhall – Steelers will rely on him with Ben out, but
he tailed off at end of ’09.
-
RB Ryan Mathews – NFL first-rounder and featured back in good
Chargers offense.
-
RB LeSean McCoy – Good receiver out of the backfield in Philly’s
pass-happy offense.
-
QB Tom Brady – An extra year away from injury, and with Moss/Welker,
Brady should improve.
-
WR Roddy White – Three straight seasons of 1,150 yards; added
career-high 11 TDs in ’09.
-
WR Calvin Johnson – Scary good two years ago; won’t disappoint if he
and Stafford are healthy.
-
WR Greg Jennings – Very good last three years; expect TDs to spike
to around 10 again.
-
WR Miles Austin – Awesome last year, but won’t surprise anybody this
time around.
-
WR Brandon Marshall – Lots of yards; scored 10 times last year.
Should be fine with Henne.
-
QB Tony Romo – Four straight seasons with rating of at least 91.4;
rose to 97.6 in ’09.
-
QB Matt Schaub – Coming off sweet season; throws to Andre The Giant.
But will he get hurt?
-
QB Philip Rivers – Great last two years, but who to throw to
(besides Gates) without Jackson?
-
RB Cedric Benson – Bengals workhorse should find paydirt a few more
times in better offense.
-
RB Pierre Thomas – Still has Bush around, but the PT Cruiser may
finally have bigger breakout.
-
RB Beanie Wells – Great late in ’09, but offense may fall because of
QB, and Hightower lurks.
-
WR DeSean Jackson – Road Runner speed kills Cornerback Coyotes.
Better in return TD leagues.
-
WR Marques Colston – 6-foot-4 ox is definitely the receiver to
target down on Bourbon Street.
-
RB Jahvid Best – Reports on the electric young Lion have me
salivating.
-
RB Jonathan Stewart – The “other” Carolina back has consecutive
10-TD seasons.
-
TE Antonio Gates – Sorry Dallas, I’m a sucker for steadiness. 6
straight years with at least 8 TDs!
-
TE Dallas Clark – Seemed to be Peyton’s No. 2 target last three
years, maybe No. 1 last year.
-
RB Ronnie Brown – Injury-prone, yes. But the dude scores points.
-
RB Knowshon Moreno – Should be focal point of offense, but only
averaged 3.8 yards per carry.
-
RB Joseph Addai – Underwhelming talent, but he finds the end zone in
a rock-solid offense.
-
RB Jamaal Charles – Chiefs had to ruin it by bringing in Thomas
Jones. I hate RB committees.
-
WR Steve Smith (CAR) – Still top option in Panthers’ passing game,
still scary speed.
-
TE Vernon Davis – Hopefully last season’s monster breakout (13 TDs)
wasn’t a fluke.
-
WR Steve Smith (NYG) – 107 receptions last year, but Giants plan to
run more.
-
WR Chad Ochocinco – TO addition should help on paper. Minus ’08,
Ocho has had awesome run.
-
WR Anquan Boldin – Top downfield target in Baltimore. Despite
injuries, can’t argue with #’s.
-
RB Arian Foster – Houston’s main man in the backfield. Closed out
’09 with two solid games.
-
TE Jason Witten – Piles up yardage; still No. 2 aerial option, after
Austin.
-
QB Brett Favre – After also considering Kevin Kolb here, I had to go
with the old gunslinger after what No. 4 accomplished last year.
Favre will finally ride off into the sunset for good after this
season – no joke.
